Since 2004, Mike James has been delivering top-tier hockey instruction across Southern Ontario and internationally. A former elite-level player turned professional instructor and coach, he has worked extensively in private lessons, group classes, camps, off-ice shooting lessons and team coaching. With experience coaching over 15 teams and working alongside NHL and European professional players and coaches, Mike brings a deep understanding of skill development and game strategy. His passion for the game, attention to detail, and commitment to athlete growth ensure that every player receives top-level instruction tailored to their needs.

ABOUT MIKE

  • 20 years of experience as a professional hockey instruction:

    •  including 10 years as a head and senior instructor at Hockey Tech. International, Prime Time Hockey and Proven Performance Hockey.

  • 8 years of experience coaching at the GTHL AAA, AA and Junior-A levels. 

  • 8 years of experience coaching female hockey in OWHA at the AA, A, BB and B levels.

  • Former Coach of the Year - North York Storm

  • Former Provincial OJHL Junior-A Player and AAA GTHL Player.

  • Former OHL level playing experience.  

  • Education - University of Toronto

  • Hockey Canada Development Certified Coach
